Here on this website we will be discussing all about GMAT tests in Pakistan. In Pakistan, GMAT tests have gained immense popularity. GMAT® (Graduate Management Admission Test) is an acronym for Graduate Management Admission Test. 

Education Testing Service (ETS) is yet to supervise and administer the test. In Business Schools and other graduate management programs, this is a standardized test administered in English that is used as part of the assessment process for admission purposes to MBA programs.

Main GMAT Test Skills:

You must have specific knowledge about the skills criteria of the GMAT in order to successfully pass the stage of the exam. These major skills include:

  • Endurance: The first skill that you need to master is the endurance, which calls for you to focus on the questions for almost 3 hours and 40 minutes. Essentially, we would say that exhaustion physically and mentally is part of the test’s challenge.
  • Grammar, Reasoning and Argumentation Skills: This test can also determine the intellectual ability of a person. Math, English, and logic are all combined into this test. A calculator is not permitted at the time of the test. So, you should be familiar with making basic math calculations before taking the test.
  • Test-taking Skills: This is a category in which you should have a strong capacity to guess, to work at a moderate pace, and also be able to make decisions under pressure

 The GMAT, as most know it, is a computer adaptive test (CAT) with a maximum time limit of three hours and forty minutes. It has the following sections:

  • Analytical Writing Section (task 1)
    • Analytical Writing Section (task 2)
    • Quantitative (Problem Solving & Data Sufficiency)
    • Verbal (Reading Comprehension, Critical Reasoning, & Sentence Correction)       

Let’s take a look at each section individually:

1.      Analytical Writing: This section is all about using a word processor to write the essay. In addition, it is made up of two separate assignments namely an essay on an issue and an essay on analyzing an argument. Each of these parts can be finished within 30 minutes.

2.      Section Quantitative: This section is focused on mathematics that consists of 37 questions. These questions refer to Problem Solving (PS) and Data Sufficiency (DS). Throughout this section, there will be questions on Number Systems, Percentages, Fractions & Decimals, Algebra (including Quadratic Equations), as well as Geometry with Relationship & Proportion, Area & Volume of 2-D and 3-D figures, and Probability.

3.         The Verbal Section: This is where you will learn the basics of English as well as reasoning and analysis. A total of 41 questions will be presented to you in 75 minutes, divided into three types: Sentence Correction (SC), Critical Reasoning (CR), and Reading Comprehension (RC).
